Projected streams, commingling.-Two or more liquids are mixed together by forming a film or thin stream of one of the liquids and impinging thereon a second liquid in the form of a mist, film or stream. As shown, a tangentially arranged nozzle c forces liquid against the walls of a container comprising an upper cylindrical part a and a lower cylindrical part b. A thin film of liquid flows down the container and in the lower part b the sleeve-like film formed has a second liquid introduced in the form of a mist, film or spray from the interior. The second liquid may be sprayed into the sleeve-like film from the interior of the part b, or at the outlet thereof, or at a suitable distance below.
