Abstract

298,964. Kappel, H. July 18, 1927. Ammunition receptacles.-Relates to smallarms in which the stock is provided with means for storing cartridges, and consists of a special construction and arrangement of means for ejecting the cartridges one at a time. Two chambers 6, 7, which may be of different sizes for holding cartridges of different kinds, are formed in the stock 1 of the gun, and are covered by an apertured plate 3. When a slide 4, normally held by a spring catch 19, is freed and is moved back by means of the sling 17, so as to uncover an aperture 22 or 23, below one of the chambers 7, 6, a cartridge is ejected by means of a flat spring 13 or 12. Springs 14, 15 push the cartridges towards the ends of the chambers opposite the apertures.
