Abstract
298,049. Debertin, J., and D³rhoppwerke Akt.-Ges. April 5, 1928. Feed by dog.-A household sewing machine is adapted for embroidering by disconnecting the feed-dog operating means from the dog which then drops below the throat plate. The dog g is operated vertically by the stud f on a plate e which in turn is operated by the bolt c of a plate b when moved forward through the plate d fixed in the rock shaft a to engage the plate e by the rod h which has an operating knob m above the base plate k. When the bolt c is withdrawn from the plate e the feed dog drops on to the abutment n below the throat plate, and the plate e is uncoupled from the fixed plate d of the rock shaft. The conical end of the bolt c enables the bolt to engage the bore in the plate e even when the machine is working.
