Limbs, artificial.-Artificial limbs are formed by covering a cast a of' the body portion with a layer of plastic caoutchouc b and pressing the outer sleeve c of the artificial limb over said layer and finally vulcanizing the layer, or the caoutchouc may be pressed into the space between the cast and the sleeve before vulcanization. The sleeve may be made as a seamless metal tube of aluminium or aluminium alloy.
