Compound f o r m s; tubes. - In a reinforced tube for pressure-conduits formed by loosely placing rings at uniform distances on the tube and then expanding the annular parts of the tube between the rings by internal hydraulic pressure, any undue strains in the completed tube are eliminated by subjecting it to an annealing process. The welded seam b between the end of the tube and its jointing flange is protected against deformation by one of the rings as shown.
