Abstract
295,900. Frankfurter Gas Ges., and. Reichard, F. Jan. 31, 1928. Producer plant.-In water-gas plant, the blast gases are used to heat a steam boiler which is also heated by a continuous auxiliary fuel supply, the latter being throttled during the blasting period. The blast gases from a water-gas generator A pass through a conduit to a steam boiler C. Auxiliary fuel and air are supplied through a valved pipe D to the conduit B which is heat insulated and made so large that complete combustion can take place therein. A valve E enables throttling to be effected during the blast period. In a modification, a separate combustion chamber adapted for burning coal dust is provided.
