Abstract

294,802. Waag, H. Oct. 1, 1927. Furs.-A device for producing cut-out patterns in furs comprises a template apertured according to the pattern to be produced which is moved past the cutting knife as the cutting of the fur progresses. The furs are secured to a traveling belt b by which they are conveyed to a cutter comprising a fixed blade c and rotary blades d. The template f is of resilient but sufficiently stiff material and may be in the form of a flat plate moved in guides g, during the cutting of the fur, by friction with the fur or belt or by gearing. A counter-balance i is provided which may be heavy enough to return the template after the cutting of a fur, or this may be effected by gearing. Alternatively, the template may be, as shown in dotted lines, in the form of a continuous band passing over guide rollers m and driven by a roll n.
