Abstract

294,295. Shiers, G. E. April 28, 1927. Suction. pipes; strainers. -The suction pipe A for drawing off beer &c. from casks, is provided with an internal and an external strainer b, B, and a slidable bung-hole stopper E, which is positioned by rubber rings j, k. The strainer b carries a pointer screw c which locates the lower end of the apparatus in the cask &c., and the strainer B is removably attached by pins l and cooperating bayonet slots, to a collar d which is fixed to the pipe A by a set screw e. Specifications 3891/90 and 161,261, [both in Class 21, Casks &c.], and 210,832 are referred to.
