Abstract

248,164. Kettle, A. J. Feb. 14, 1925. Tapping casks. - A device for fitting a pump or pipe 4 to a cask &c. comprises a tube 12 carrying pivoted fingers 2, of which the inner portions 5 project into the tube and are engaged by the pipe 4 when the latter is pushed through the tube, the fingers being thereby turned into engagement with the inside of the cask. The tube 12 carries a fixed flange 9 and a sliding flange 10 which is pressed on to the bunghole 13 by a spring 11.
