Refrigerating, absorption machines for,- An absorption refrigerating apparatus is provided with a refrigerant tank 14 disposed outside the space to be cooled and communicating with the evaporator through a valved-pipe 8. During generation, the liquid refrigerant flows from the condenser 2 into the tank. The valve in the pipe 8 is opened on completion of the generating phase. This arrangement is stated to prevent a rise of temperature in the refrigerator during generation.
