Refrigerating, absorption machines for.-The solvent collecting in the lower part 21 of the evaporator of an absorption refrigerating machine is returned to the generator through a valved-pipe having a liquid seal 23 in that part of the pipe which is within the refrigerator. This is stated to prevent the formation of ice on that portion of the pipe which is outside the refrigerator.
