Butbonhole sewing-machines.-The strengthening cord for the buttonhole is brought to a fixed eye coaxial with the turret and is thence led to the guiding eye in the throat plate by guides carried by a member fixed to the outside of the turret. The guides each comprise a roller 19 mounted on a pin 20 and held in place by a cover plate 21.
