292,564. I. G. Farbenindustrie Akt.- Ges. June 22, 1927, [Convention date]. Void [Published under Sect. 91 of the Acts]. Stuffing-boxes, substitutes for. -To prevent leakage of solvent from the interior of a drying chamber a through which material containing the solvent is conveyed upon a band b, the material inlet and outlet openings in the chamber are provided with sealing chambers h<1>, h<2> into which either air or an inert gas is forced through openings k<1>, k<2 >at a pressure greater than that prevailing in the chamber and above atmospheric pressure.
