Abstract

291,560. Bleloch, W. E. March 29, 1927. Strops for use particularly with flexible safety razor blades consist of a strip of spring steel or other metal 1 bent to form two parts 2, 3 over which a covering 7 of fabric, leather, &c. is stretched and which, on the parts 2, 3 being pressed together at the free ends 5, 6, present convex stropping surfaces. The strip may be bent inwardly at 4a, and the outer ends are bent at 8 over a fold 9 of the covering; teeth or serrations may be formed at the ends of the strip to penetrate the ends of the covering. The two stropping surfaces may be of different abrasive properties. Specification 291,559, [Class 30, Cutlery], is referred to.
