Abstract

290,905. Ohlenforst, H. Oct. 27, 1927. Pile fabrics.-A patterned weft pile cord-rib fabric is produced by floating more or less of differently coloured pile wefts to form differently coloured fields A - - - F, and then cutting the floats to form between adjacent fields, pile tufts the colour of which is determined by the colour of the adjacent fields. As shown, the field A contains five pile wefts of one colour, the field B five pile wefts of another colour, and the fields C - - F five pile wefts parts of one colour and part of the other colour. The pile wefts when not floated are bound in the warp.
