Abstract

209,719. Creasey, S. E. Jan. 13, 1923, [Convention date]. Pile fabrics.-A fabric is woven with a mohair warp pile of a colour contrasting with the colour of the ground, the pile is cut to form areas of high and low pile 3, 4 to produce a pattern distinguished by the different extents to which the ground shows through the pile, and a second pattern is printed upon areas of one of the piles. The colour of the ground may be varied by the relative sizes of the warp and weft and by the extent to which they are thrown towards the face during weaving. The weft 2 may be red, the warp 1 being of a gold colour.
