Abstract

289,948. Watson, G. Feb. 3, 1927. Refuse-destroying stoves; boilers, arrangement and disposition of; doors.-In all incinerator or small destructor working under natural draught, part of the combined boiler forms part of the outer shell and the remainder is set within the combustion space. In the form shown, the rectangular brickwork shell is replaced at one corner by the boiler, the structure being held together by angle plates b and straps t, u. The boiler is of vertical type, and has an internal flue crossed by water-tubes p and in alignment with the external chimney g. The top plate is formed in three portions c, d, e, secured by bolts to the strap t, the rear part d carrying the base piece f for the chimney and hinges for a balanced flap door i which opens up substantially the entire, cross section not occupied by the boiler.
