Abstract

289,195. British Thomson-Houston Co., Ltd., Warren, H. W. H., and Kinman, T. H. Feb. 11, 1927. Receiving sets, construction of.-A unit consisting of a battery or mains supply apparatus is provided on one face with terminal members so that when placed indirect contact with the face of a complimentary unit which comprises a wireless receiver or other electrical apparatus the connections between the units are completed automatically. The Figure shows a two valve receiver A provided with plugs E, F, adapted to engage sockets E<1>, F<1>, on a high tension battery unit B which is provided with plugs G, H, to co-operate with sockets on a low tension battery unit C. In a modification (Fig. 2, not shown) a loud-speaker unit is embodied in the amplifier unit.
