Abstract
288,968. Darche, A. A. A. April 16, 1927, [Convention date]. Cylinders, combustion chambers of, and arrangement of igniters and ports in.-The piston approaches the cylinder head with minimum mechanical clearance so as to close progressively the passage 6 leading to the combustion chamber, which is entirely confined to one or two side pockets containing either side or opposed valves. As shown the combustion chamber 7 is of toric form and contains inlet and exhaust valves 9, 10 and a sparking plug 8; this arrangement being repeated on the opposite side of the cylinder.
