288,639. Oesterreichische Siemens- Schuckertwerke, and Textilwerke Mautner Akt.-Ges. April 15, 1927, [Convention date]. Drawings to Specification. Picking-motions.-Relates to picking-motions of the kind in which a rotating friction roller in the lay is adapted to be moved into the path of the shuttle and consists in driving the roller by an electric motor which is either secured to some stationary part., or is so mounted that, while it oscillates with the lay, its centre of gravity is on or near the axis of oscillation of the lay. A separate electric motor may be used for effecting the picking of each shuttle, or one motor only may be employed for operating both rollers.
