288,324. Bendix Brake Co., (Assignees of Laddon, I. M., Ring, W. A., and Herman, F.W.). April 6, 1927, [Convention date]. Disc wheels. - A metal wheel, stated to be for use on heavy aeroplanes, comprises a hub 14 formed with a brakedrum 22, a pair of discs 26, 28 riveted to the hub-flange 16 and drum-flange 24 respectively, and a tyre-rim 10 which is secured to the edges of the discs by means of reinforcing rings 30 and rivets 32. The wheel may be formed of duralumin. In a modification, the brake-drum and the other hub-flange are separately secured to a tubular hub-barrel.
