Abstract
284,741. Hammel, E. W. M. Sept. 27, 1926. Manures.-Substances, such as bone meal, containing or capable of yielding albumenoids or peptones are treated with hydrochloric or other inorganic acid, other than sulphuric acid, a potassium fertilizer being added during the treatment. The product is concentrated, free acid being neutralized by means of ammonia, and then dried in a vacuum, and ground or crushed to a fine powder. The powder may be mixed with peat meal.
