Abstract

Light radiations, actuating apparatus by.-In order to protect oilimmersed transformers and other electrical apparatus in the event of internal faults, the gas evolved on fault escapes through a tube 23, Fig. 2, into a transparent receptacle 26 containing a curved glass partition 27. The evolved gas forms under the partition as a plano-convex lens and disperses the rays from a light source so that the intensity on a photo-electriccell, connected with an indicator is reduced. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 (3) (a) describes also an arrangement wherein the evolveld gas displaces oil in a tube 10, Fig. 1 (Cancelled), and the resulting difference in the intensity of the beam, through the tube, on the photo-electric cell operates the indicator. this subject matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
