Elastic - diaphragm pressure gauges. - The movement of the diaphragm b of a a pressure gauge, determines the setting of a liquid or gas current through a pipe d adapted to regulate the temperature of resistances i. The resistances preferably are in the form of a Wheatstone bridge and differentially cooled, the current passing through a solenoid which acts in opposition to the diaphragm so that the pressure is determined by the current in the ammeter k or recorder m. In a modification the cooling is effected by an air current produced by the heating of the resistances which are arranged in a tube. The action of the air current is determined by a screen across the inlet which is moved in accordance with the pressure.
