282,323. Neilson, T., and Marshall, J. Nov. 7, 1927. Addition to 228,440. Ventilators.-The nozzle-containing member 4 of the air-directing device of the parent Specification is of ellipsoidal shape and is rotatably mounted in an independently rotatable bearing ring 6 which conforms partially to the shape of the nozzle member. The bearing ring 6 is formed of two flanged parts 6a. 6<b> which are adapted to rotate in a groove provided between two spaced members 2b, 2<c> secured to the wall of the air duct. The flanges 8<a>, 8<b> are shaped to receive the nozzle member 4 which has a venturi-shaped nozzle 5. The member 4 is provided with two pins 14 on its minor axis, and these are received in bearings 15 formed in the bearing ring 6. Soft packing 11 is nlaced between the members 6<a>. 6<b> and between the socket 8 and the nozzle member 4. The flange 8<a> has an extension 9, and the flange 8<b> has indentations 13 in its edge for the recention of the finger tips of the operator. Two handles 12 are fitted on the nozzle member. The nozzle 4 is adapted to be rotatable on the axis X-X, Fig. 2, and the bearing ring 6 is rotatable on the axis Y-Y, Fig. 3.
