Abstract
282,087. Akt.-Ges. Brown, Boveri, et Cie. Dec. 13, 1926, [Convention date]. Drawings to Specification. Equalizing load on generator.-A rotary transformer coupling two alternating current systems and consisting of synchronous and asynchronous elements is regulated by a commutator machine cascaded with the asynchronous element so that the rate and direction of power transmission is varied in proportion to the duration of the frequency of one system from a mean value. This is effected by means which automatically regulate that component of the armature voltage of the cascade machine which is in phase, or opposition of phase, with the slip voltage of the asynchronous element according to the expression c(fm-f)-Es, where Es= the slip voltage of the asynchronous element c is a constant and fm-f = the deviation of frequency.
