281,802. Houghton-Butcher Manufacturing Co., Ltd., Denniss, A. J., and Edwards, V. W., Sept. 23, 1926. Cameras, roll-film.- The spool pin C at one or each end of the spool chamber W is mounted on a plate or arm B hinged at a<1> to the fixed end of the chamber, which end has a central perforation through which the pin protrudes into the interior of the chamber to engage the spool when the member B is locked in the closed position shown in full lines, by the detachable back D of the camera. A flange B<1> and baffle-plate B<2> may be formed on the member B, and serve together with the back D, to prevent ingress of light into the spool chamber. Both pins of the film supply spool chamber are preferably mounted in the manner described; but one pin only of the receiving spool chamber is so mounted the other end of this chamber being adapted to receive the winding key. In addition to the form shown, as applied to a camera having a body formed mainly of metal, a modification is also described for a camera having a body formed mainly of wood.
