[Class 52 (v)] [See also Group XX] A closure plate for a camera body is formed to serve as a support for the body during the taking of pictures and is provided with means (e.g. a hole and a slot) co-operating with an element (e.g. a screw) securable to the camera body to provide a pivotal mounting or a mounting permitting lateral movement. In the form shown, the closure plate 13 has a hole 16 for securing it to a tripod stand, a hole 15 through which a screw is passed into a threaded recess in the camera body and a slot 14 through which the screw may also pass. The camera may be secured by the screw passing through the hole 15, or slidably by the screw passing through the slot 14.
