Abstract
280,962. Moya, R. G. Nov. 22, 1926, [Convention date]. Void [Published under Sect. 91 of the Acts]. Stop-motions, warp.-The heald shafts are provided with a U-shaped metal part 14, Figs. 2 and 4, from which a part 13 is insulated by the part 15. The parts 13 are connected to an insulated contact 23 on a lever 17 which is adapted, on the lowering of the heald frame, to make contact with a resilient piece 18 connected to the pole 21 of a battery or other source of electric current. The parts 14 are connected to the framework of the machine and, through an electromagnet 22 controlling the weft stop-motion, to the other pole 20 of the battery. When a warp thread breaks, the corresponding heald 9 falls, and its eyes 16 make contact at the points 11, 12 with the part 13, the circuit being thereby completed through the constant contact of the eyes 16 with the parts 14. The electromagnet is thereby energized to operate the weft stop-motion and stop the loom.
