Overhead sewing - machines. - A machine of the scale-pan type for overseaming furs is provided with means for adjusting the looper bar comprising a back bearing mounted to oscillate about a vertically adjustable stem. The looper bar 9 is carried by a sleeve 11 supported by cranks 14 on a rocking shaft 12. The rear end of the bar is carried by at sleeve 16 from which projects a stem 22 housed in a bearing member 20 having a vertical stem 24 vertically adjustable in a bracket 26. The adjustment of the bearing member is effected by a screw stud 30 having collars 28. 29 which engage on either side of a pair of lugs 27 projecting from the bearing member. A set screw 35 locks the stud 30 in adjusted position.
