Cylinder machines. - A cylinder machine of the kind in which the impression cylinder k is reciprocated in opposite direction to the reciprocating forme bed c is constructed with power - transmission members e.g. racks e, pinions f, and racks h, between the bed and the carriage i of the impression cylinder k. The bed c is reciprocated by a crank on the shaft a and connecting - rods b engaging bearing-blocks d arranged near the centre of the bed. The pinions f are mounted in fixed side frames, and the arrangement is such that the cylinder k makes a complete revolution while passing over the bed.
