Rearing-appliances. - A heating-appliance or fostermother for reviving lambs and other young animals comprises a chamber A supported on standards D or brackets and provided with a sliding, hinged, or detachable door B having a glazed or other transparent panel C. The chamber is formed with a floor F that is slightly depressed in the middle to form a shallow trough for drainage purposes, an aperture G being provided above a pan H. The sides of the chamber are extended to form an open heating compartment L bridged by a heat deflecting plate K situated over a stove E. The floor F may be provided with apertures N to let the hot air enter the chamber, and the sides are provided with ventilation openings M. The floor may slope towards one side instead of towards the middle.
