Abstract
279,325. Wade, J. T. April 14, 1927. Disc-supported-blade fans and pumps.-An impeller for a centrifugal pump or water turbine of the kind having radial vanes 8 of the shape shown in Fig. 1 is formed with a passage-way 6 for the fluid through the shroud 5, the other shroud 7 being so shaped that it directs the water or like fluid to the vanes or vice versa, the vanes being formed integrally with the shrouds or are attached thereto. Constructions are described in which the vanes are attached to the shrouds by separate or integrally-formed pins. Specification 268,677 is referred to.
