Abstract

Laminated. wood.-In a process of glueing wood, starch, or materials containing starch as the main constituent are applied to the surfaces to be glued and then converted into an efficient glue by heating to a temperature of about 90‹ C. under pressure. The starch, &c. may be applied in a dry state, or mixed with additional substances, as a pasty mass, jelly, suspension, &c. The paste, &c. should contain about 30 per cent of starch. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 (3) (a) describes also the admixture of trioxymethylene or neutral salts such as magnesium chloride with the starch; the use of all materials containing starch; and using starch in an undecomposed state. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
