Abstract
278,622. Adams, H. W. A. June 8, 1927. Fittings, internal.-A box for holding a number of notched or perforated safetv-razor blades comprises a rack or equivalent fitting having a row of spaced parallel compartments in which the blades are located with their corresponding notches or perforations in alignment and a locking bar movable into and out of a position in which it extends transversely of the rack compartments and engages the notches or perforations in the blades to lock them in position. As shown, the rack consists of a wooden block 12 having a series of parallel vertical slots to receive the blades 15 having end notches 18 and the locking bar 17 is formed on or secured to the hinged front 8 of the box so that it can be moved into engagement with the notches 18 in the front ends of the blades and a corresponding recess in the front of the block 12; a second locking bar 14 is fixed to the back of the box to engage the notches in the rear ends of the blades when thev are slid into the rack. The rack may be formed from a slotted and curved metal strip.
