Abstract

278,338. Zeiss, C., [Firm of]. Sept. 28, 1926, [Convention date]. Lenses. - Photographic objectives corrected spherically, chromatically astigmatically and for coma have each half consisting of a separate collective meniscus facing the diaphragm and a cemented doublet. Each half is so constructed that incident parallel rays coming from the side of the meniscus through a small diaphragm at the larger angles intersect each other in such a manner that the sagittal and tangential points of intersection of the rays follow each other with both halves in opposite sense. Numerical data are given in the Specification of such a lens having an aperture of F/4.5.
