Abstract

329,350. Wade, H., (Soc. Franþaise CinÚchromatique, ProcÚdÚs R. Berthon, Soc. Anon.). Nov. 16, 1928. Lenses.-Spherically and anastigmatically corrected lenses are constructed of a divergent and a convergent element, the ratio of the respective focal lengths being between 2.3 and 2.8. The spacing of the lens elements is between 0.12 and 0.18 of the total focal length. Achromatism may be effected by making one of the lenses a cemented doublet. Two similar lenses may be combined to form a svmmetrical lens or the lens may be combined with a known type of lens to increase the aperture of the combination. This lens is stated to be specially applicable for use with lenticular films, enabling the selecting filter to be placed outside the lens system. Numerical data are given in the Specification of one construction.
