Paper and like bags. - The bag or sack described in the parent Specification and comprising a sewn bottom and deeply-pleated side walls which form a bottom a on which the bag can stand when it is being filled, is provided with rows of stitching b extending obliquely across the bottom from the corners, the arrangement ensuring automatic opening of the bag when disposed beneath a hopper and filled therefrom.
