Liquid-level pressure gauges.- In a mercury-tube manometer loss of liquid from the upper end of the indicating tube 22 due to excessive pressure, is prevented by a valve member 29 having apertures 28 which are closed by the rising mercury, so that the member 29 is floated and closes the outlet 30.
