Abstract

277,649. Zemmerli, G. Sept. 16, 1926, [Convention date]. Void [Published under Sect. 91 of the Acts]. Lubricants for fibres and threads consist of a water-free neutral mixture of oil of petrolatum or like paraffin oil with a liquid capable subsequently of emulsifying the oil in the dyeing vat. Mineral oil distillates or mixtures of isomeric hydrocarbons may also be added. Suitable wetting liquids specified are hydrogenated phenols, hydrogenated naphthalenes, and hydrogenated terpenes. In an example a mixture of 200 parts of oil of petrolatum,- 60 parts of decahydronaphthalene, and 10 parts of hydrogenated cresol is used.
