Abstract
A gelled fuel composition comprises a normally liquid hydrocarbon, substituted hydrocarbon, hydrazine or substituted hydrazine fuel, and 1-10% by weight of a finely divided fibrous polyoxymethylene polymer comprising fibres having a length of less than 50 microns, and a length to diameter ratio of at least 10 : 1. The fuel may be a gasoline, kerosene, fuel oil, a lubricating oil fraction, benzene, toluene, n-hexane, hydrazine or symmetrical or unsymmetrical dimethyl hydrazine.
