Refrigerating, absorption machines for.-A portable apparatus comprises an electricallyheated generator-absorber 1 containing a solution of ammonia in water and a condenser-evaporator coil 7; the coil is connected to the generator-absorber at one end and sealed at its other end. During generation, the coil is immersed in cooling-water, while during evaporation and absorption it is immersed in the substance to be cooled.
