Refrigerating, absorption machines for. -In apparatus working on the reversing system and having a rectifier vessel d connected to the generator-absorber vesse a by a pressure pipe h and by a return vapour pipe g serving also as an overflow from the rectifier to the generator-absorber, the rectifier is partly immersed in the cooling-water tank of the condenser coil f, so that the upper vapour space of the rectifier is uncooled. The pressure pipe h is connected to a pipe h<1 >leading to the bottom of the rectifier and forming a liquid sea against the return of vapour through the pipe l during the absortion period.
