Abstract

276,767. British Dyestuffs Corporation, Ltd., and Thornley, S. June 19, 1926. Dibenzanthrone dyes.-The dyestuffs obtained according to the process of Specification 276,766 by alkali fusion of benzanthrone sulphonation products are treated with hydroxylamine or its salts in the presence or absence of ferrous sulphate. The products dye cotton in grey to black shades from the hydrosulphite vat. In examples, the reaction is effected in sulphuric acid solution.
