276,612. Soc. Technique d'Etudes et d'Entreprises pour l'Industrie, and Huguenin, A. Aug. 30, 1926, [Convention date]. Addition to 260,984. Heat of compression, absorbing; valves, arrangement and actuation of.- In a compressor with one or more intercoolers r, w, the ends of the cylinders a, b are provided with the usual inlet valves c - - f and with special discharge valves g, h, i, k associated with sleeve valves l - - o which control the discharge of the compressed gas through pipes q, v to the intercoolers, and the re-admission of part of the cooled gas from the intercoolers through pipes u, z to the cylinders while the valves g, h, i k are still open. The valves g, h, ik , and l - - o may be operated by two sets of electromagnetic coils p<1>, q<1>, s<1>, t<1> acting on magnetic portions d' of the valves, and supplied with intermittent current by a dynamo C and a switch operated by two sets of eccentrics I. The valves are counterbalanced by springs g<1>, m<1>, and have dash-pot controls, and their movements may he regulated by adjusting the eccentric rods actuating the switch.
