276,524. Brockhouse, J. T., and Brayshaw, B. Oct. 21, 1926. Laminated springs.-Means for increasing the lateral stability of vehicles having transverse laminated springs comprise an additional plate spring secured between the main spring and the frame or axle and having resilient end portions. In the construction shown in Fig. 1, the main spring 1 is secured at its middle to a transverse frame member 5 and at its ends to the axle 4. The additional stabilizing spring 7 is clamped between the main spring and the frame and its ends are made of open loop shape so as to engage between the main spring and the transverse frame member 5 and resist lateral tilting.
