Abstract
275,673. Robillard, J. F. M. R. de Aug. 9, 1926, [Convention date]. Flotation processes and apparatus.-Graphite and other ores are concentrated by flotation by placing them in or passing them through a coptainer formed with apertures or slots, and impinging on the outside of the container jets or streams of water which pass through the apertures or slots carrying air in with them. The apertures may be covered with gauze or other perforated or porous material. In the apparatus shown, water jets from a pipe 7 impinge on openings 4 in a trough 2 through which the ore pulp is passed from one end 1 with the aid of a screw 3, tailings being discharged at the end 8 and concentrates at a trough 9.
