Pistons; reducing wear of.-In a piston comprising a body 1 of magnesium or other light metal or alloy provided with a sleeve 3 of hard metal having internal dovetail grooves, the piston body is secured to the sleeve by expanding it by means of internal pressure while hot. The piston body is preferably of fibrous structure. Specifications 248,720, [Class 83 (iv), Metals, Working], and 261,528, [Class 82 (i), Metals, Extracting &c.], are referred to.
