Abstract

274,362. Thornton, W. Jan. 28, 1927. Spring wheels.-A wooden wheel body 4, carrying a rubber tyre 6, is fitted with a central rubber bushing 14 and spaced auxiliary rubber bushings 25, as shown in Fig. 2. Metal discs 16, 17 are fitted at the sides of the wheel body 4, and bear against the tapered projecting ends of the bushings. The discs 16, 17 are rigidly connected to telescoping sleeves 26, 27 in each bushing 25, and to telescoping sleeves 20, 23 at the central bushing 14. An adjusting bolt 30 passes through each bushing 25.
