Abstract

274,216. Spencer, Moulton, & Co., Ltd., G., and Glasoodine, R. T. April 20, 1926. Spring mountings for scats. - A resilient mounting for seats on motor vehicles comprises indiarubber lined eves or sleeves on the seat structure or on the vehicle body and rods or tubes, mounted on the vehicle body or the seat structure, extending through the eyes or sleeves. In Figs. 1 and 2, the seat 1 is shown provided with members 3 carrying sleeves 5 lined with india-rubber 6, 7. Flanges 11 on elbow-pieces 13 keep the rubber lining in place. Figs. 4 and 5 show a modification in which four rubber lined sleeves 5 are provided at each side of the seat, together with stays 19 and rubber pads 20.
